Omelet

Omelet: Onion Flavored
Use with 4 - 6 eggs
Ingredients: Onion flakes, flour, parsley, sugar, salt.
Recipe:
4-6 Large Eggs (or equivalent "egg-substitute")
3 Oz. Sharp cheddar cheese (or your favorite kind)
2 tsp. Water or Milk
1 Tbsp. Butter or margarine or Fat-Free Substitute
1 tsp. Cooking oil (or spray pan with non-stick spray)
1 pkg. Phil's Amazing Omelet Mix
Optional: (add any or all of the items below)
1/4 cup Chopped Green Pepper
1/4 cup Sliced or diced mushrooms
1/2 cup Chopped or diced ham

Whip eggs (or egg-substitute) until fluffy.
Add the water (or milk) the cheese and margarine.
Stir in the pkg. of Omelet Mix (let stand about 3 minutes)
Add optional items (above) if desired. Fold into mixture.
Coat a 10-12 inch skillet with oil. Add mixture and cook over low heat.
When Omelet is almost done, fold it in half (like a 1/2 moon)
Cover and let simmer until done.
Alternate cooking directions for a "soufflé" or baked Omelet:
Instead of cooking in a skillet, use a round covered baking dish coated with oil. Bake Omelet in a 325º oven. Omelet will be done when a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean and Omelet no longer "wiggles" (approx. 20-30 min.)
