Tater Sowder Soup

Tater' Chowder Seasoning
Yields approximately 2 - 2 1/2 quarts of creamy Potato Soup when prepared as per our recipe
Ingredients: Onion flakes, parsley, minced garlic, dill, celery seed, blk pepper
Recipe:
6 Cups Potatoes
2 tbsp. Flour
1 Cup Carrots
8 oz. Sour Cream
1 Cup Broccoli
6 Cups Milk (whole or 2%)
3 tbsp. Butter or Margarine
Optional: 1 Can Clams (4-8 ounces) ** do not drain clam juice

Dice the potatoes, carrots and broccoli.
Microwave until tender (approx. 15-20 minutes).
Combine the flour and 1 cup of the milk. Dissolve flour completely (use a wire whisk, etc.) Pour into skillet.
Add the pkg. of Tater' Chowder seasoning, the butter or margarine, and the remainder of the milk. Mix well.
Stir in the vegetables (and clams if desired).
Cover and simmer on low heat about 1 hour.
To make the soup creamier: Use a wire whisk or remove 1/2 of the soup and mix in blender until creamy. Add back into the soup in the skillet.
Add sour cream and stir into soup mixture until creamy.
Salt to taste if desired.
